So. Much. Stuff.

Today is just a quick list of what I've already done since pulling the trigger on buying Kentucky land for sale near Red River Gorge and Cave Run Lake - Lot 8 (MY lot).

Kentucky Lot for Sale - Lot 8!
Former Kentucky Lot for Sale - Lot 8!

I read over the Offer to Purchase and HOA documents and signed them. I also sent my earnest money deposit to the escrow

I read over the contract with Red River Gorge Getaways, the property management company (more on them later) and signed it.

I created my own business, called Robyn's Nest Vacations LLC (how cute!). My sister helped me navigate the steps on the website to do this. I also got an EIN number.

I did some searching on YouTube and the internet for cabin designs and found one I love. With a few minor tweaks, it will be perfect!

I met with some builders at the site to interview them and see what they thought of my design and where I want it placed. After I get some idea of pricing from each of them, I will select one and get on their schedule.

I made an appointment with the Menifee County Health Department (Haley) to come out and do a soil test to make sure I can put in a septic system. I also arranged for the excavator to be there at the same time because a trench has to be dug for the soil test. I also want to chat with the excavator about their thoughts on a driveway for my cabin.

Still on my To Do List is to set up a bank account for my new business. I'm hoping to get that done today.

It's scary and exciting! I'm so thankful that I have people to help me along this journey with my short-term vacation rental. And to think it just started with a little dreaming about these beautiful Kentucky Lots for Sale.
